Coach Walton starts by showing us bad technique, disconnecting the core at the catch, pressing the legs, and leaving the handle behind at the front end.  He then goes on to detail two drills which help correct the error; promoting better connection at the catch.  The result is connected, strong, efficient strokes in which the seat and handle travel together out off the catch.  If you have an issue with shooting the slide (or even if you don’t), this video will teach you drills which will help increase your efficiency and effectiveness on the rowing machine over any distance.
