Achieving the body over position, before releasing the knees and sliding towards the catch, ensures that the body is in the strongest position to take the catch and will also prevent any upper body movement/lunging at the catch which results in checking the boat and/or missed water. A quick and smooth catch is the result of good setup after the recovery. Once you achieved good body over position, the only thing left to do is slide freely into and out of the front end....
